Started working as R&D engineer immediately after completing masters degree in engineering in US in 1969. Subsequently worked in various management positions including heading the R&D Department managing real time hardware and software development for control systems. Rose to a senior management position before leaving the company in early 1984 to start his own company. During the 14 year career conceptualized and successfully executed a number of significant technology development initiatives.

Chairman of Universal Technical Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. UTS India is engaged in software development and marketing of UTS Inc. products in India.

Director of UTS Power Systems Pvt. Ltd. a company set up in India to design and manufacture high performance, light weight diesel engines on India for military applications.

Member – two different High Level committees set up by the Government of India in 1997 and 2003 in the field of technology.

Proposed a concept called Virtual Clusters to the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in India. Developed the backend portal and provided it toe government at no charge in 2014. Currently working with the Ministry on a number of initiatives that will help rapidly launch and grow agri linked businesses in India.

Completely developed the Software Technology Park policy for the Government of India in the area of computer software exports during the 1982-1985 timeframe that has contributed to the growth of Indian software exports from $30 Million per year in 1985 to over $150 Billion at present. This was done outside the government on a voluntary basis.
